More Fake CE Stamps?

This is a perfect example of why RCDs (residual circuit devices) are such a great idea.

The in-built fuse failed to blow due to using both a kettle and a microwave at the same time in this extension plug socket unit (approximately 26amps on what should be a 13amp fuse).

The neutral wire has clearly overheated and melted into the earth, causing the RCD to activate and turn off the power. By the condition of the cable - the bubbling and black discolouration - it was just in time to prevent a fire.

I suspect that the main cause of this fault is a bad connection of the neutral to its buzz bar. Is this yet another example of a fake CE stamp?
